11 time BAFTA Nominee (5 Time Winner) & RTS Award winner with over 30 years of broadcast experience specialising in music and LE work. Kev has worked all over the world and in all areas of sound production and sound post production.
Kevin Duff, who started his career at London weekend Television in 1987 where he was trained on the studio floor in all aspects of sound. Following that he moved on to become a Grams operator and he worked on all the Light Entertainment/Music, Sport, Drama, Current Affairs and Outside Broadcast work that LWT made. Although he had started to supervise shows at LWT he felt his interests would be better served elsewhere and in 1995 he went freelance. A year later he was offered a Sound Supervisor position by Fountain Television, which he took, and was made Head of Sound 1 year after that.As Head of Department he ran two studio sites comprising 3 studios and a dubbing suite. He employed a permanent staff of four sound people two of whom he trained from entry level, and the third who he taught to supervise/dub after they had been working on the studio floor.
As the senior in-house mixer he was able to follow many shows from the studio into post-production, which enabled him to both mix and dub those programmes. Fountain also hired him out to mix several large LE/Music productions and in return he bought these back in house for post-production.
Since rejoining the freelance world life has been very busy both in the UK and worldwide on a wide range of productions from music to reality and beyond!

The Voice Series 2/3-Kev and his team where delighted to be bought in for series 2 of The Voice (BBC), Kev supervised the series as well looking after all the music remixing for the early rounds. With over 100 numbers to mix it was a heavy workload and Kev also dubbed the first 2 transmissions to ensure continuity between studio and post before handing over to the staff at Envy. The live shows involved Kev mixing the music in Conrad Fletcher’s Mixbus with Howard Nock looking after the presentation side
Ant + Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway-Madness live to air would be the only way to describe this show! Kev is currently in middle of second new series of the popular show with live music and comedy through out.

100th Royal Variety Performance-this took part in the Albert Hall and was a music heavy show with great acts like Robbie Williams, Alicia Keys, Neil Diamond, Kylie Minogue and Andrea Bocelli to name just a few. Kev recorded the show and then handle all the post remix.
Rod Stewart Xmas Special-shot in Stirling castle with Rods own band this ITV special included duets with Michael Buble, Kylie Minogue and Nicola Bernadetti plus David Foster playing the piano!
Katherine Jenkins Music special for ITV…Kev recorded and looked after post remix.
Jesus Christ Superstar-the search for the new principle part in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s forth coming production of the classic musical. Fully live band and with a massive workload across 8 daily live shows this was a big undertaking but working closely with Nigel Wright and his team and great result was obtained.
Diamond Jubilee Pageant-Recorded in Windsor Great Park for ITV this massive show consisted of over 1200 performers and 500 horses! 240 inputs across 2 trucks and a 2.5 hour record meant a huge workload for Kev and his team. Kev is now in post production for the show which airs over the jubilee weekend.
League of Their Own series 5 for CPL/Sky…this series Kev looked after the studio and then also the 5.1 mix in post production once again proving how helpful it is to have the same person follow the project all the way from studio to dub.
Lionel Richie Music Special for ITV1 recorded show and remix at TLS London .
Michael Buble Xmas special for ITV1 recorded 2 nights then looked after the post mix at his own studio.
Westlife-last tv special as they enter their last year of touring, Kev worked closely with MD Steve Anderson to produce the hour long show for ITV1.
Will Young Music Special: ITV commissioned and made by Victory productions Kev recorded and then mixed this hour of live performance by Will and his band.
Beyonce: 2 nights of recording for an ITV special later in the year. Beyonce plus her full live touring band with additional live strings made for a very exciting couple of nights from this stunning artist.
Audience With Barry Manilow- recorded and mixed by Kev for TX later in the year. Kev mixed at and then FTP’d Barry songs for approval directly speeding up the process before laying back the to the HD master.
Isle Of White Music Festival 2011- Kev mixed the 5.1 music output from “The Big Top Stage” for Blink. Live 5.1 for transmission by Sky. 32 bands in 3 days meant very fast turnarounds especially with the 5.1 element.
Movie Awards-2.5 hours live from Wembley arena with Take That, JLS and Eliza Doolittle performing.
ITV Music Specials 2009/10 with Rod Stewart/Michael Buble/Phil Collins/Simply Red ..Kev recorded the studios with full live bands and followed through into post production doing final mixes at his own suite before review and layback at ITV.

Grease-High School 2 09-Mentorn asked Kev and the Plus 4 Audio team to takeover the final show for their Sky 1 production this year. The winners performed Grease on a west end stage and as well as the live sound in the theatre Kev mixed the broadcast and provided stem and full multitrack records to be used in post for the 5.1 final TX.
The Cube 09- Kev was bought in by exec producer Justin Gorman to handle the audio post of the new ITV game show. Kev dubbed mainly in house at Objective on their protools system as well as a couple of days in his own room.
Princes Trust “We Are Most Amused”- Comedy night to celebrate Prince Charles 60th birthday and the success of Princes Trust with a Gala evening at Wimbledon Theatre with Robin Williams, John Cleese, Bill Bailey and a host of other stars. Kev recorded the event live and then followed it through completing all the post production.
Divas and Here Come The Boys-Kev has just finished these 2 charity night music shows for ITV1 featuring the likes of Tom Jones, Seal, Liona Lewis, Dionne Warwick and Anastacia to name but a few. Following the recordings Kev also handled the post production mixing and completion of both jobs which air towards the end of Nov 08.

British Movie Awards (Indigo Television)-New show in 2007 celebrating the best films of the year. Kev will run this again in 2008
National Television Awards 2007(Indigo Television)-The third year Kevin has mixed the show. This year it was back to a live 2 hour transmission from the Albert Hall in London. 2008 show also being handled by Kev again this time round.
Saturday Night Divas (Granada Television)-night of live music featuring stars such as Alicia Keys, Chaka Khan and Celine Dion to name but a few. Kevin handled the audio for broadcast with many artists performing with the live house band. Kev also did the post production dubbing of the show.
Greatest Hits Live (Granada Television)-fully `live music` review of year recorded by Kevin at BBC TVC. All the following bands were mixed as live and recorded on the same day-James Morrison, Snow Patrol, Keane, Razorlight, Jamiraquai, Fratelli`s, Kasabian, Scissor Sisters. The post production was then also mixed by Kevin at The London Studios.
