OB01 - Big Buddha

Mains: 125 AMP SINGLE PHASE 300 milliamp trip

The Main Mix room is a wonderful space to mix – featuring a 192 channel SSL System T console and a de-rigable grams area, allowing for either a sofa for clients, a gram-op, or just a good dancing space!

KIT: SSL S500 Console, Barefoot Monitoring, Outboard including Bricasti, UAD, Neve.

Grams: as required – spot-on, protools (in many configurations), streamdeck.

Video: Ki-Pro hard disk recorder with timecode sync so we can quickly remix to picture if required.

The Edit Room: with identical audio characteristics as the main room, this space can either be used for post production or a second mix room. Indeed on last years UK Voice we used this area to mix the spin off Voice show while Kev was mixing the music output in the main room!

Also on shows like Festival Of Remembrance we utilise one end for orchestra mix into the main room adding pres, choirs and guest music artists. This room has space for any desk required and regularly fits DiGiCo SD7 and STUDER Vista consoles.

The Record Lobby: a bespoke recording area with 2 protools HDX systems for 192 channel double headed record. A further 192 channel Reaper Record is also available. This space allows PT recording operators to be isolated from mix room and have proper space to work in.

Interconnect: Multiple ways of MADI over SC fibre or BNC also analogue and AES if needed. All three rooms in the Zen truck have the same interconnect capability of MADI/AES or analogue so extra kit is always easy to plug in.

The Patch Room: accesible by steps or tail lift (for heavy equipment or very heavy engineers!) the patch area gives full access to every in and out on the truck plus mains and UPS. With all patching done here the mix engineers do not get disturbed and frees up space inside for the record lobby.

All three areas of the truck have independent air-con and duel mains distro – providing both hard and UPS mains. The truck will run for around 20 mins on UPS mains should a total power failure occur.

We have our own truck wifi so that receiving last minute track changes or sending mixes out is no problem.
